FAQ

  • We are in network with Aetna.

We also accept private pay. If you plan to pay out of pocket, individual sessions are 60 minutes and cost $150. We provide Superbills for clients who want to claim on their Out of Network benefits.

Sliding scale is available- we understand that therapy can get expensive. Please reach out to inquire about making therapy accessible for you.

  • You can easily check what your out of network (OON) benefits are by calling the number on the back of your insurance card. Ask them what your patient responsibility is for OON individual therapy sessions. Coverage ranges from plan to plan- the important thing is to ask. You may be surprised by how much is covered!

If you decide to claim on your OON benefits, I will provide you with a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance company. From there, you will coordinate with your insurance company to receive reimbursement for sessions, according to your specific plan benefits.

  • Yes! Creativity is for everyone. Even if you don't consider yourself creative, art can still be beneficial for you. It's about self-expression, exploration, and healing, regardless of your artistic abilities.

  • That’s perfectly okay- many of my clients feel this way. You do not have to engage with art therapy for us to work together. As a trained counselor, I have seen healing happen both with and without art. Just know that in our work together, you will always have the option to explore.

  • Session structure depends on your unique needs. For those who are interested in art, any materials you have on hand are welcome! There is no need to go out and purchase fancy materials. If you plan to book in person, you will have access to a therapeutic studio filled with art materials, all included and provided for you.

Sessions usually involve creating while talking about what feels big in your life. You have the freedom to follow your own creative process, or I am happy to guide you through sessions with a more directive approach. The goal of incorporating art is to help deepen your processing, in whatever way works best for you.

  • Some benefits of somatic and creative approaches include higher levels of emotional resilience, improvement in coping skills, nervous system regulation, embodied healing, processing through non-verbal communication, empowerment and self-discovery, stress reduction and relaxation, integration, and catharsis/ emotional release.
